I made it through both sets!! On the last set for strength, I also was able to make it with the raises a lot better... it was still tough, and the last 2 reps, I had to really push through it, but I finished! I am feeling stronger! 28 more days to go!Emily Smithhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355325384681192659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072384097613371069.post-36042536011339869802012-01-11T06:05:00.000-08:002012-01-11T06:09:41.196-08:0030 Day Shred - Day 5 & 6Day 5 &6 - Sunday & Tuesday (I had to take Saturday and Monday off due to being out of town those days)
Program: Level 1 (Sunday) Level 2 (Tuesday)
Notes: Had to skip 2 days....I didn't want to do this, but my days were just too full on Saturday and Monday - My work out on Sunday was strong and I felt good. Tuesday, I decided to try level 2, just to see if I could do it. AAAANNND I failed. I am not ready for that. I think it takes a lot of upper body strength that I am not ready for quite yet....Emily Smithhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355325384681192659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072384097613371069.post-57578804371017790812012-01-06T11:12:00.000-08:002012-01-06T11:22:32.196-08:0030 Day Shred - Day 4Day 4 - Friday, January 6th
Program: Level 1
Notes: I went to bed last night completely sore...I woke up not so sore! I still felt like I worked out, but just not as sore... I'm not hobbling around today! Yay!
I started the workout out strong...I did the first set of pushups without problems...the second set it was like my arms decided to stop working. It seemed like that for all of the sets...the first one was great, the second set was like my body didn't want to work. But I pushed through! And finished the workout strong.Emily Smithhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355325384681192659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072384097613371069.post-43710664936452833642012-01-05T11:58:00.000-08:002012-01-05T12:03:24.252-08:0030 Day Shred - Day 3Day 3 - Thursday, January 5th
Program: Level 1
Notes: I was SO sore when I went to bed last night, and so sore when I woke up this morning!! Wow! I haven't felt this sore in a long time. But it's a good sore. I was surprised that I made it through the first set of push-ups without any problems. The 2nd set was tough, but I pushed through. Like Jillian says, it's only a 20 minute exercise, so no pausing or stopping. I think that's what makes the program do-able...knowing that it's ONLY 20 minutes, and also, knowing the system of the program... 3-2-1... 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio...1 minute of abs. For me, I can coach myself through the tough parts because I'm like, it's only 3 minutes!!
Anyways, I know it's only day 3, but I feel so energized already. After I finish, I feel like I can do anything! And I do feel tighter too...like I just hold myself better...standing a little taller.
27 more days!Emily Smithhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355325384681192659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072384097613371069.post-48263040559645578112012-01-04T11:03:00.000-08:002012-01-04T11:11:06.519-08:0030 Day Shred - Days 1 and 2Just keeping a short blog about my 30 Day Shred.....

I started the Shred on Tuesday, January 3rd - I am not going to weigh myself for a week...I decided to work on being consistent with the work out before I put a lot of pressure on myself to see results in numbers. Because I am still breastfeeding, I am not changing up my diet too much yet. But I am being more conscience about what I eat. Making sure I eat a healthy breakfast and lunch...and cut back on snacking.

Day 1 - Tuesday, January 3rd
Program: Level 1
Notes: It was tough to get back into the swing of exercising. I had trouble with push ups and abs. Cardio was tough, but I pushed through it.

Day 2 - Wednesday, January 4th
Program: Level 1
Notes: Man, I am feeling the workout from yesterday... my arms are sore, and so are my legs. I really wasn't expecting to feel this sore. I did the work out - level 1 again. It was a little easier to do push ups today! I was expecting since I was sore, that it would not be easy, but I was surprised that I was able to make it through the entire push up set.Emily Smithhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355325384681192659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072384097613371069.post-85081804132707275992011-09-07T20:47:00.001-07:002011-09-07T20:47:43.295-07:00Stationery card

Hello World Blue Birth Announcement

Create beautiful birth announcements with Shutterfly.

View the entire collection of cards.

Emily Smithhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355325384681192659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072384097613371069.post-6682667898009097402011-04-28T09:59:00.000-07:002011-04-28T10:06:56.764-07:00April 28th - 31 weeksWe're on the homestretch! Just 8 or 9 more weeks and our little guy will be here.

I was looking at my Lilypie counter... today it says he's about 17", 4lbs and sleeping a lot due to lack of space? Um, Lilypie has this one wrong! This kid moves all the time...it's like he's eager to break out by punching at my stomach. Last night, lying in bed, he kicked my rib so hard, I lost my breath! Geez, kid - easy now!

I went to the doctor on base yesterday...I've had a lot of trouble with my ears over the last 2 years, but over the past several months, it's gotten worse. He said I have Eustation Tube Dysfunction. I have no idea how common this is, or how it's going to get better....he loaded me up with Claritin, some nasal spray sterioids, and some other type of nasal spray - hopefully this will correct the problem! It's frustrating not being able to hear or feeling like you're constantly underwater.

We're waiting to hear any day about our pending move and new assignment.....I hope we can move soon so that we can get settled before the baby gets here - but we'll just be happy to have peace that he still has a job in the Air Force....I can deal with most everything else regarding moving/not moving/baby coming on our report date etc.Emily Smithhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355325384681192659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072384097613371069.post-7860171119618577972011-04-05T11:18:00.001-07:002011-04-05T11:33:28.344-07:00Let the blogging begin...

28 Weeks!

How did I get here so fast? It's been quite the ride over the past 28 weeks....

We're looking forward to the baby's arrival, but we're also looking forward to being settled at our new base with our new assignment. I look back at April last year...Jaye was at OTS, and I was waiting and hoping that time would fly by so that we could be at Sheppard AFB and get started with pilot training. Everything over the past year has been waiting and hoping that time would fly by so that we could get to the next stage.... But now I see how fast time really has gone by over the past year.... I wish it would slow down a little bit. I mean, I'm so excited about the baby arriving, but I just don't want to rush it, so that I can enjoy every minute.

It's been so hard and so good over the past few months. Even in trials, the Lord has blessed us so much with an awesome church here in Wichita Falls - It will be hard to leave them, just like it was hard to leave our church in Melbourne.

Our next ultrasound is on April 15th - We're hoping to get a good report at this visit! The gall bladder was enlarged at the last visit, so we're praying it's resolved itself and that we'll be good to go!
Emily Smithhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355325384681192659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072384097613371069.post-8599701417005104152011-02-07T08:46:00.001-08:002011-02-07T08:46:10.936-08:00Posting via Email

I'm finally getting around to getting our blog set up again...
